    Hello ,

    Redhat Enterprise 7.3 64bit , 8cpu ,16gb Ram , 250gb HDD or 240gb SSD

    The following values are default

    /sys/block/*/queue/rq_affinity
    /sys/block/*/queue/scheduler
    /sys/block/*/queue/nr_requests
    /sys/block/*/queue/read_ahead_kb

    linux io tuning best practices

    /sys/block/*/queue/rq_affinity 2
    /sys/block/*/queue/scheduler noop
    /sys/block/*/queue/nr_requests 256
    /sys/block/*/queue/read_ahead_kb 512

    How is the performance effects?
