Unhappy Installed Ubuntu 12.04 sucessfully, but issues with Iburst Modem driver "freezes OS"

    Hi Everyone

I has successfully installed ubuntu 12.04 on various machines and i have just installed it now on a new Notebook HP 4530s i5 4GB 750GB HDD.

It work very well and is very fast, but when i downloaded and installed the driver for the Iburst internet modem, it actually freezes the OS and somehow does it where if i then reboot the machine with the modem plugged in then it wont even allow me to login at all, but if i reboot again without the iburst modem plugged in then i boots just fine.

I used the same drive on another ubuntu 12.04 machine thats a little older than this one and works 100%

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
