    Welcome. tip #1 -- learn the command line, starting with common commands like ls, mkdir, cd, chmod, chown; tip #2 -- do not be afraid of having to reinstall, to partition or edit configuration files; tip #3 --find a distro you truly enjoy, not just one someone recommends

    Hello,
    I can recommend some Linux starting guide
    If you plan to use Ubuntu try ubuntuguide.org/wiki
    otherwise for example tuxradar.com/linuxstarterpack

    I definitely agree with the #3 tip really find a distro which you will like
