who can tell me what the heck is wrong with the system again!

was installing the netbeans and jdk7 bundle on my system and midway, I got this scrambled gui graphic. who can tell me what the system needs to render the graphics properly. I have freetype 4 on my system.

My best guess is that the character encoding was guessed (probably because it wasn't stated) therefore likely misinterpreted. If what you're doing worked before, I would completely reinstall everything (jre, jdk, netbeans...), and if the problem persists, I would talk it up on a Java support forum.
