I don't use Linux for games. I have a Windows 8 partition which I dual boot into when I want to play games. As for graphics, I use GIMP and Xara Xtreme. Both work fine without any tweaking. So what are you expecting to happen when you say optimize for graphics?

I wanted to install a game, speedx, on linux and it asked for some libraries like libpng which i thought should be available on the system by default. the game refused to make. i have gimp on my system an gimp is what i use. thanks. if i cannot install this game, then what other game can i install; it's just a low level game for speedracing.
