What do you think of this processor?

I have Quad core Q8400 2.5GHz micro processor in my desktop pc.I know its quite an old one. I'm wondering how long will this one be able to hold out the newest games at max details ???

I must say it amuses me that Quad core is considered old. The PC I use for home office stuff still has a celeron single core and works perfectly well. It won't play heavy games admittedly but you apply the right tool to the right job.
