Check this out - Ubuntu Will Ship on 5 Percent of PCs Worldwide

This is a turn up for the books and some great news that Ubuntu is getting recognition at manufacturers.

Last evening, Chris Kenyon, Vice President & GM, Alliances & OEM Services at Canonical, announced at the Ubuntu Developer Summit that the Ubuntu operating system will ship on 5% of personal computers worldwide, doubling last year's shipments to 18 million units.

Chris Kenyon said that on 2011, the Ubuntu operating system shipped on $7.5 billion worth of hardware, and that 8 to 10 million units shipped last year worldwide.
