Are there any KEY dangers to look out for in LINUX
I have never yet had any issues with Linux, but I would like to know of any possible security related issues to look out for or anything that could involve meddling from the outside.
Any issues of security out there?

Not a security expert, but here's a couple of thoughts that come to mind:
User accounts without passwords.
Open ports to insecure services.

Thanks Bob, they are a couple of things I am learning about, the first being a little more on the common sense side

Yes, the usual things, Root level users with no password, installing vulnerable scripts - Xwindow is one such example. Also making sure that you control user access is a big one, we had a hacking attempt where the user got 1 password, and then hoped through all out networked machines because they all had the same admin password.
