You can get an FLV download, and then windows movie maker is great for stealing the music from the videos. I cannot remember the name of the downloader software, but once you do that, import the video and copy it to the "audio" portion in WMM and save. Linux wise, I am not sure what tool there is, but any video editor should be able to do the conversion.

There is a very good site that downloads Youtube videos. Although it also offers a conversion from Youtube videos to .mp3 audio files

I used a software known Factory Format that converts any type of file into another required type of file.it will also convert the you tube video into Mp3 format file.

I would be cautious about using those youtube to mp3 websites. One of the main sites seems to be in a bit of trouble with Google because it may not be so legal to turn copyrighted videos into mp3s.
