Help with FCEUX

FCEUX is a Nintendo Emulator for Linux, and it looks pretty good. However, when I try to run ANY rom file, it works for about 5 seconds, then it commits suicide and closes itself, and crashes. Does anyone know the issue with this? I put it in the audio/video section because there may be a problem with my drivers. I am using Mint 12 "Lisa" Gnome 3. Please Help!
