I've used SSH for a couple things such as my iPod touch and iPhone, but I never knew you could SSH with other devices as well. I'm pretty sure it's much more complicated, but good luck with that!

I think it's completely possible. I see people converting their BlackBerries and iPhone's into routers and modems, so I don't see how it's not possible to do so with a Linux! Good luck with it...

If you can integrate Windows 7 and Ubuntu, then you probably should be able to do so. It would be pretty cool seeing Xubuntu touch-friendly and all. I say go give it a shot!

I spend a really long time on the computer daily, maybe about 5-6 hours, but it also depends. If I'm busy with work, then it may be a lot less, but usually around 5-6 hours is in the complete norm.

I think killing a process should be quite similar to how it is done on Windows. Whatever opens up your Task Manager should include Processes, in which you can easily disable a process if needed.

I heard Handbrake works like a charm for some people, so I highly suggest you try that before anything else. It's really good with ripping and such, and it should work fine. Good luck with that!
