I chose Ubuntu 11.10 as it seems to be very popular. It is very buggy though.

I also experienced severe performance issues when I put Ubuntu 11.10 on my Dell Inspirion 11.10. Might have a look into Lubuntu as suggested.

I installed it, but whenever I click on the icon in the task bar, it just flashes a couple of times and nothing happens. I researched on google and this problem seems to be wide spread, can you guys...
